-
Transforming Primary Health Care through Education, Innovation, and Collaboration
-
The I-CARE Project is an international Erasmus+ initiative that aims to strengthen primary health care by bridging academic education, professional practice, and innovation.
-
At its heart, the project promotes interprofessional, student-led clinics where senior students in medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, and allied health fields work in real-life settings — delivering services under licensed supervision, gaining hands-on experience, and developing critical competencies.
-
I-CARE focuses on enhancing the clinical, ethical, and teamwork skills of new medical and health sciences graduates. Through modern curricula, digital tools, and immersive practice environments, the project ensures that future professionals are better prepared for the challenges of modern primary care.
-
Guided by the University–Enterprise–Research knowledge triangle, I-CARE also fosters collaboration between higher education institutions, healthcare providers, and consultancy firms — creating a sustainable model for capacity building and health system innovation in Egypt, Lebanon, and across Europe.
